Is DayByDay free?β¦
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature β no credit card required. After the trial, DayByDay costs $5.99/month or $59.99/year (about $5.00/month, saving you around 17%). Without a subscription, you can still log weight entries on the free tier.
Does DayByDay count calories?β¦
No β and that's by design. DayByDay tracks outcomes, not inputs. You'll see your weight trend, sleep quality, medication history, activity levels, and body measurements. It works great alongside a food tracker like MyFitnessPal or MacroFactor, but DayByDay itself doesn't log meals or calories. The goal is less friction, not more.
Is my health data private?β¦
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties beyond what's needed to run the app (Supabase for hosting, RevenueCat for billing). You can export or delete everything at any time. See the Privacy & data article for the full breakdown.
Does DayByDay work without Apple Health?β¦
Yes, completely. Apple Health is optional. You can log everything manually β weight, sleep, steps, medications, measurements β by tapping the + button on any tab. Apple Health just saves you the typing if you already have data there from an Apple Watch or other device.
What GLP-1 medications does DayByDay support?β¦
DayByDay supports all major GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 medications, including Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Saxenda, Rybelsus, and others. If your medication isn't listed, you can still log it under a custom entry. The medication level estimate uses the drug's half-life, so accuracy depends on selecting the right medication from the list.
Can I use DayByDay on Android?β¦
Right now, DayByDay is available on iPhone (iOS) and on the web at web.mydaybyday.app. An Android app is in development. In the meantime, the web version works well on Android browsers and gives you access to your full data, logging, and charts.
How do I import my old weight data?β¦
You can import a CSV file at web.mydaybyday.app/weight. The file needs a header row, dates in YYYY-MM-DD format, and weight values using a decimal point (not a comma). If you're exporting from another app, most of them let you download your data as a CSV file. See the Troubleshooting article if your import fails.
How accurate is the medication level estimate?β¦
It's a pharmacokinetic estimate β not a blood measurement. DayByDay uses the drug's typical half-life to calculate an exponential decay curve from your last logged dose. It gives you a useful sense of where you are in your dosing cycle, but individual metabolism, body weight, and kidney function all affect actual drug concentrations. Never adjust your dosing based on what the app shows. Follow your prescriber's instructions.
What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?β¦
Your data is never deleted when you cancel. Premium features lock after your current billing period ends, but everything you've logged stays in your account. If you re-subscribe, full access is restored instantly and your entire history is right there waiting for you.
Can I share my reports with my doctor?β¦
Yes. In the app, go to Reports β Generate PDF. Choose a date range and DayByDay will create a formatted PDF covering your weight trend, medication log, sleep summary, body measurements, and lab results. You can email it directly from the share sheet, AirDrop it, or print it. It's designed to be easy to read in a clinical appointment.
How does the streak work?β¦
Your streak counts consecutive days where you logged at least one piece of data β a weigh-in, a dose, a sleep night, or anything else. Log something before midnight and your streak continues. Miss a full calendar day with no data logged and the streak resets to zero. Your all-time best streak is always saved even after a reset.
What is Journey Mode?β¦
Journey Mode is a beautiful dark, sunset-themed interface that replaces the standard light theme. It was designed to make the app feel like a reward when you check in at the end of the day β warm golds and deep ambers instead of the default warmgray palette. It's a premium feature. Toggle it in Settings β Theme β Journey Mode.
Can I delete my account?β¦
Yes. Go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm by typing DELETE. This permanently removes all your data β weights, sleep, medications, measurements, labs, and your profile. It cannot be undone, so export your data first if you want to keep a copy.
Does DayByDay work offline?β¦
Yes. You can log weigh-ins, doses, sleep, and any other data even when you have no internet connection. The data is saved locally on your device and syncs to your account automatically as soon as you reconnect. You'll see a small offline banner when the app detects no connection.
