How is DayByDay organized?β¦
Five tabs, top to bottom of your day. Today is your daily home β your Momentum Score, streaks, Quick Add, and a note from Dayo. Track is the fast-logging hub (tap to log, hold to view history). Nutrition is food logging with protein and fiber front and center. Insights is where Dayo reads your data and tells your story. You holds your goals, reports, health sync, pharmacy, and settings. That's the whole map. See Welcome to DayByDay for a friendly tour.
Is DayByDay free?β¦
Logging is free, forever. On the Free plan you can track weight, GLP-1 doses, sleep, exercise, labs, measurements, and mood with no time limit. When you want the analysis layer β trend projections, Dayo's coaching, Journey Mode, Apple Health sync, and exports β that's Core ($4.99/mo or $49.99/yr). Add the full Nutrition module and nutrition-aware coaching with Plus ($9.99/mo or $99.99/yr). Every new account gets a 14-day free trial of the full Plus experience, no card required to start β after the trial you're on the Free plan unless you subscribe. Full details in Plans & billing.
Can I log food in DayByDay?β¦
Yes! The Nutrition tab (part of DayByDay Plus) is built around what matters on a GLP-1 β protein and fiber rings up top, with calories, carbs, fat, and water alongside. You can add food four ways: search a huge FatSecret database, snap a photo of your plate, scan a barcode, or scan a nutrition label. Tap to log a serving, long-press to adjust the portion. Manual entry is always free. You don't have to count obsessively β many people just glance at their protein ring and call it a day.
Do I have to log food?β¦
Not at all. Plenty of people use DayByDay just for weight, GLP-1 doses, and sleep, and never open the Nutrition tab. It's there if and when you want it β especially helpful for making sure you're getting enough protein to protect muscle while you lose.
Who is Dayo?β¦
Dayo is your AI coach β a friendly little sun, powered by Anthropic's Claude. Each morning Dayo reads your real data and writes you a short, plain-language note: how the week went, what's working, and one gentle thing to nudge next. Every line is grounded in your actual numbers, never generic filler. You'll see Dayo's daily read on the Today tab and the full weekly story in Insights. Dayo is part of Core (included in your trial); the nutrition-aware version is part of Plus.
What is Journey Mode?β¦
Journey Mode is our signature look β a warm sunrise-to-sunset interface that makes checking in feel like a small reward instead of a chore. DayByDay also has clean Light and restful Dark themes. Switch between all three anytime in You β Appearance. Journey Mode is part of Core.
Do I need Apple Health?β¦
Nope β it's optional and totally up to you. You can log everything by hand from the Track tab. But if you're on an iPhone, connecting Apple Health (You β Health Sync) saves you the typing: weight, steps, sleep, and workouts flow in on their own. Apple Health sync is part of Core.
What GLP-1 medications does DayByDay support?β¦
All the major ones β Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Saxenda, Rybelsus, and more. Log a dose and you'll get a next-dose countdown, a medication-level read, an injection-site Rotation Advisor so you're not hitting the same spot, and a full dose history to bring to appointments. The level estimate uses each drug's half-life, so pick the right medication from the list for the best read.
Can I share my data with my doctor?β¦
Yes, and it's one of the nicest parts. As you read your Insights, tap the π bookmark on any card to flag it for your next appointment. Then in You β Reports & Export, tap Health Report (PDF) β DayByDay builds a doctor-ready summary that automatically includes your flagged insights, medication summary, logged symptoms, and charts. You can also export any table as CSV. You do the living; the app does the paperwork. See Reports & your doctor.
Can I use DayByDay on Android?β¦
Right now DayByDay is on iPhone (iOS) and on the web at web.mydaybyday.app. The Android app is in beta and rolling out now on Google Play. In the meantime the web version works well in Android browsers and gives you your full data, logging, and charts.
Can I bring my history from another app?β¦
Yes β head to web.mydaybyday.app and tap Import (it's a web feature, so open it in a browser). You can bring in weight, GLP-1 doses, sleep, or measurements from a CSV, drop in The Downsized tracker spreadsheet as-is, or just type or paste rows into Quick entry. See Importing your history for the details.
What happens to my data if I cancel?β¦
Nothing disappears. If you cancel Core or Plus, the analysis features lock at the end of your billing period, but everything you've ever logged stays safely in your account β and you can still log on the Free plan. Re-subscribe anytime and your full history is right there waiting.
Is my health data private?β¦
Completely. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, protected by Row-Level Security so no other user can ever see it, and it's never sold and never used for ads. You can export everything or permanently delete it at any time. The full breakdown β including exactly which services touch your data β is in Privacy, data & legal.
Can I delete my account?β¦
Yes, anytime, no questions asked. Go to You β Account β Delete Account and confirm. It permanently removes everything β weight, doses, sleep, nutrition, measurements, labs, mood, and your profile. It can't be undone, so export your data first if you'd like to keep a copy.
Does DayByDay work offline?β¦
Yes. You can log weigh-ins, doses, food, sleep, and anything else with no connection β it's saved on your device and syncs automatically the moment you're back online. You'll see a small offline banner when there's no connection.
How do I contact support?β¦
Email support@mydaybyday.app β that's the fastest route, and we aim to reply within one business day. You can also reach us from You β Support in the app.
