Your profile and settings
Everything about your account lives in Settings. Tap the gear icon or your avatar to get there. Here is a quick reference for the most common tasks.
Changing your display name
- 1Open the app and go to Settings.
- 2Tap Profile.
- 3Tap Display Name.
- 4Type your new name and tap Save.
Your display name appears on the dashboard and in your exported PDF reports. It is never shown publicly.
Changing your email address
- 1Go to Settings β Profile β Email.
- 2Enter your new email address.
- 3Tap Save.
- 4Check your new inbox for a confirmation email from DayByDay.
- 5Click the link in the email to confirm the change.
Confirmation required
Your email address does not change until you click the confirmation link. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. The link expires after 24 hours.
Changing your password
- 1Go to Settings β Profile β Change Password.
- 2Enter your current password.
- 3Enter and confirm your new password.
- 4Tap Save.
If you have forgotten your current password, use the Forgot password link on the login screen instead. You'll receive a reset link by email.
Signed in with Google or Apple?
If you created your account using Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, you don't have a DayByDay password. Your login is handled by Google or Apple. To change it, update your Google or Apple ID password in those respective settings.
Updating your goal weight
- 1Go to Settings β Profile β Goal Weight.
- 2Enter your new goal weight.
- 3Tap Save.
As soon as you save, your dashboard goal progress, predicted arrival date, and upcoming milestone cards all update automatically to reflect the new target.
Switching between lbs and kg
- 1Go to Settings β Profile β Units.
- 2Choose lbs or kg.
- 3Tap Save.
When you switch units, all of your existing data is converted automatically. Your charts, stats, goal weight, and entry history will all display in the new unit. You can switch back at any time.
Measurements use their own units
Body measurements (waist, chest, neck) are stored in centimeters internally and displayed in cm or inches based on your unit preference. Switching units converts these too.
Using DayByDay on multiple devices
Your DayByDay data is stored in the cloud and synced to every device you sign in on. Just download the app, sign in with the same account, and all your data will be there.

- β¦If you just logged a weigh-in and it hasn't appeared yet, pull down to refresh.
Logging out
- 1Go to Settings.
- 2Scroll to the bottom.
- 3Tap Sign out.
- 4Confirm when prompted.
Signing out removes your session from the device. Your data stays safe in the cloud. Sign back in at any time to access everything.
Deleting your account
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
Deleting your account permanently removes all of your data β weights, sleep records, GLP-1 doses, measurements, labs, and your profile. This cannot be undone. Make sure to export your data before deleting your account if you want to keep a copy.
- 1Before deleting: go to Settings β Export Data and download a copy of your data if you want it.
- 2Go to Settings.
- 3Scroll to the very bottom.
- 4Tap Delete Account.
- 5Read the confirmation message carefully.
- 6Type DELETE to confirm.
- 7Tap the red Delete my account button.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. Cancel your subscription separately before deleting to avoid future charges. See the Subscriptions article for how to cancel.
If you are having trouble deleting your account, email support@mydaybyday.app and we will process the deletion for you within 5 business days.
